What Will Work Best for My Site?

Many of you turn to putting out volumes of stuff the marketing pros call content to make up for the lack of results from your best pieces online. What you need to do is tell more people about your great stuff and stop thinking that the more you have in cyberspace the more business you will do. Lots of junk with your e-signature on it can be doing your company and image harm.

Quality is King and Queen of online marketing.

If you do not have anything significant to say then why publish? Realize that once someone is disappointed with a post you published they will forever, instantly tune out anything else they see with your name on it. Am I being too harsh? Don’t you do just that...

You know the posts and posters to skim over on your social media group conversations. You know the annoying people commenting that are always trying to have the last word no matter how silly their debate position has been exposed as being skeptical or dubious and you click away…fast!

Well, everyone that reads your articles and your comments are already just as weary as you are. They are as suspicious of you as you are of them due to all this content marketing that is just being posted in volumes anywhere and everywhere. We have all experienced posters and online publishers trying to scam the search engine algorithms.

None of us are surprised anymore when someone leaves a post, comment on a blog simply because they hope the back-link will somehow mystically raise one of their website’s pages ranking for a particular keyword phrase. We all know instantly web publishing that is there for search engines and not us.

Oh, I get it. Ranking for that desired keyword or short statement or for a question that is popular with searchers can bring you loads of business…for FREE! So you think trying anything is worth the attempt. Bad publishing is a negative, a black mark on you and your brand. Silly videos if they entertain are a treasure but poorly created videos just to have a video does your brand damage…period.

Know that we all cannot be great at video and writing articles and answering questions; plus be great at managing one’s business too. I know plenty of writers who will out write you because they have studied writing and have tried and tested many methods of copy styles. They know persuasion theory for business growing purposes because their commissions demand they learned how to pitch better if they were going to survive in their professions. Their experience tells them how to beat your particular kind of competition. They have honed their craft and know exactly what works and what does not with various audience types.

The good news is that you know your business, like no one else does. You also understand why your customers love you.

Know that the best copywriters in the world cannot beat you because you have been living in the cauldron of your industry for a long time and you have a complete understanding of that business and everything that goes along with that business. You know your market; what works for you and what does not work for you. You also know what you are comfortable with doing. What works for others may not be perfect for you to use. You have to find your own ways.

Can you see how the best video creator cannot really hope to beat you because your video will touch the hearts and stimulate the minds of those you wish to reach due to how connected you are to your potential business prospect pools?

You know how to bond with your customers offline; so why can’t you convert your same techniques so they also work on the digital stages?

A competitor may have a better visually constructed video, using pro actors and expensive film equipment and crews but your video should talk direct to your preferred audience much better. A pro writer may write an interesting article but your article should really capture the imagination of readers.

Your readers want to hear from you. If they wanted to read literature there is plenty of literature to read online. They are interested in your take on the subject and topics that you and they both love.

Maybe you will never write like Emerson, Frost, Twain or Confucius… Still your stories will resonate with your crowd; because you are one of them!

What is holding you back from having the best blog in your market place and best website in your genre, click or niche usually is just fear of trying new stuff or a new way.

Believe me readers and web browsers like new ideas and interesting presentations. The same old same old is boring! Tell what the other sites are not telling. Speak about what everyone is thinking but not verbalizing. It is your industry; you know the problems your customers have…solve them or steer them towards finding their own solutions.

Publish stuff online that is of real value and worth your audience’s time. Who calls their work, their publishing…content? Not good artists or experts in one’s field.
You are better than content marketing. You publish real value…online and offline…in the mail or via email and even your texts should be of the highest quality being texted in your industry!

Quality sets you apart and distinguishes you.

  1. Celebrity Real Estate News – People want to know how their favorite celebs live. Celebrity news and info gets people to your blog and gets them sharing your social media posts. Sure, you want to sell your local properties but you also need links to your website if your site is going to rank in Google search. You want site visitors and people discussing your latest posts too. so therefore you post about popular topics and celeb news has always been a hot topic that gets plenty of participation, comments and valuable LINKS!
  2. Writing about, photographing and making videos that show Mansions and impressive architecture, back yard patios and in ground pools - I know that most of your clients cannot afford those high price luxuries but let’s face it they still like hearing about how the other side lives. We like to imagine ourselves living the ‘born with a silver spoon’ lifestyle. Yes the idea is to get website visitors! Why else would a realtor be posting online? You want leads and clients but you have to make your website and blog and social media accounts popular first.
  3. Mix in some info and advice articles that show you as being a knowledgeable Realtor. Talk about local properties in a way that shows you as an expert so anyone reading your publishing will not want to hire anyone but you. You do this by showing off your talents and wisdom about locally important aspects of buying and selling property. Not every location has the same property issues. Your clients need specific information, stats and criteria that is critical for them saving money when they buy or if they are selling, helps them set the highest possible sale price with confidence.
  4. Beautiful photos and local videos get shared the most online. - You need your online publishing to get shared and passed around by others to gain maximum publicity for your site and blog and social media arenas. Great images rule the internet… long winded narrative writing is unfortunately considered boring by most web browsers. Know that all of your online writing must be accompanied by a great photo and preferably by a great interesting video too.
  5. Proper White Hat #SEO will get you more visitors without even posting another article or blog post. Are your photos optimized the way Google wants them to be, if not perhaps you need to brush up on keywording and search engine optimization. Remember it is not the so called high traffic stats that get you actual business, it is getting the visitors that you really prefer doing business with to your site that matters. Once there on your website, are they going to be willing to engage further with you?
 
Will new visitors call you on the phone? Why? Will some leave you comments and ask you questions that you can answer and address in a helpful way that your audience will appreciate? What are the reasons that you are giving visitors to convince your new visitors to ask you a question about local property? What motivates a new person that lands on your webpage for the very first time to give you their name and phone number or to join your discussions on Facebook or follow you on Twitter or engage on further with you on LinkedIn?
 
TIP: Remember that if your mission is to send visitors to your website then your website must first be set up to impress those who actually do end up going there. Why send people whom you wish to do business with, to a dysfunctional website that they will just click off of very soon? A bad website only hurts your reputation.

Spamming on the internet should be avoided at all times!

Yes I get that you wish to promote your products and company but that is why only smart, innovative and crafty web marketers have much success pitching online.

Remember heads on selling is frowned upon in many places on the web so promoting a brand or company products in cyberspace takes real tact and thorough thought. Not being able to promote by using an outright commercial or ad makes marketing online tougher than offline. Cloaking one’s true motives for publishing stuff on the web, can be difficult and challenging, when it really is just more sales that you are after.

Underestimating your customers and audiences online is the biggest mistake marketers make. People see right through sales pitches that are disguised, dressed up or decorated. The key online is to build a specialized audience before you start promoting to them. You have to gather the troops before you can inspire them to join your cause. No one becomes a part of anything or gives their loyalty to someone or some organization unless they are proud to be associated with it.

Small Businesses especially but big corporations too, have to be trustworthy and present a pristine, unimpeachable, admirable persona for clients and customers to go out of their way to hail their name and champion their agendas. Everything and anything you do online or offline cannot and must not jeopardize or let down the loyal followers and believers your company has already built up, especially while you are only just beginning to build. Marketing honestly and with internet marketing dignity is of the upmost importance when you want your efforts to be cumulative; one action building and adding to the momentum of the last!

Attracting the attention of a few thousand social media browsers does not guarantee they are going to buy anything from you! Whatever your topic of specialty is, there are probably thousands, possibly millions, of people competing for your same audience’s attention! Yes, people browse around and some click on links and content haphazardly but most are not fooled very often and no one is tricked more than once. We are all naturally suspicious of companies’ verbatim and rhetoric!

The only way to build and keep a loyal, returning fan base is to give them stuff that they like and crave but they cannot get anywhere else! Remember that things of quality as well as rarity are the most addictive things there are.

Once a person experiences something of extreme value, lesser worthy stuff no longer has the same attraction or appeal to them. Once we have greatness we do not ever go back to mediocrity unless we are forced because we cannot find the quality we have come to expect and love.

The way great content is developed is by experimentation then compiling result data then acting on the data.

You have to take a chance if you are trying to impress people! After you try something out you need to analyze how it was received and how well it performed for you.

Regardless of whether your newly published web content does good or bad you should always plan to relook it over and attempt to improve it based on the data you analyze pertaining to how your audience reacted to it.

You need to determine why bad performing web content went wrong so you do not keep repeating the same mistakes. You also need to know why good web content was received so well by your audience so if possible you can create more good content in the future. 

The only way to be sure is to scientifically set up situations with control groups where you test different aspects of your content marketing pieces to see what turns your audiences off and what they respond positive towards. You need to test different themes, tones and moods as well as different visual stimulus. Often just changing a text font will make a big difference but you won’t know if you do not test.

There are lots of companies who compile data on all kinds of web audience types and for different industries but guru marketers are not interested in other people’s data or results. We need to find out how our audiences react and what they want from us and that means we must do our own tests and come to our own conclusions!

The good news is that the internet is ideal for fast testing and quick data compiling. Since you own or manage your web realty that means that you can make alterations to your web content to test it as much as you wish and you can keep improving it then improving it more for as long as you wish.

The idea is to keep working on your online content until it becomes super content!

Now think of an offline advertisement such as a magazine ad. Do you see how much more difficult it would be to test then retest the magazine ad and how much more costly? You would have to design different ads and pay for them all to run in magazines. It could be weeks before you got your data results back.

With online testing you can have instant results, tweak your work then test it immediately again!
