People love videos because their meanings are easy to grasp and they are easier on the eyes than reading text. Videos are entertaining and take less focus and concentration to understand.

Many folks are visual learners; they need to see something to thoroughly comprehend it. This is why Videos are great for business situations; selling promoting, instructing...

But with a business video your visual show has to stay on topic or you can lose the audience. Marketing videos are usually short, similar to TV commercials, only made on a far smaller budget. You have to pack a lot of wallop into just a minute or two, sometimes less than a minute.

Often your client will be paying to air the length (time) the video takes to play. Therefore a even slightly shorter video could save a business a lot of money, when it is intended to be played and viewed on many platforms. When time is money, you want to make every second count!

The secret to video creation for business is similar to all marketing basics. You first decide on what you are trying to do; set a specific goal. Next, you look at what the competition has been doing.

You do not necessarily want to try to keep up with your competitors in a similar fashion to what they are actively engaged in. Bear in mind that video is a trendy, artsy, field. Ideally you want to be more clever and imaginative than your competitors.

When you launch a new video campaign, you want to blow everyone's mind. The competition should be blindsided and customers should be delighted. Going the extra mile to dazzle, could catch the attention of the media which will mean loads of FREE Promotion for your client!

If your video gets news coverage, that equals marketing your client did not have to buy. News is not a paid for ad! News anchors talking and joking about your newest video will sell products!

But great videos are tough to produce!

Sometimes you need a whole movie production crew to get the desired results. Paid actors may have to be auditioned. Professional scripts could have to be written. Costumes might be required. You may have to pay for, rent, an exotic location for shooting your video.

It all comes down to knowing your limitations. You need to decide on a budget and then not get carried away with spending. Ask yourself how many cameras do you need? Do you have professional video editing capabilities? Editing is the final step that brings all the hard work together.

Watching videos and telling others about the great videos you’ve seen, seems to be the new past time for people of all ages, in all lands. But how does a company know their videos are going to get lots of views and thus create great publicity for their products, services and brand?
 
Can a company know for sure how a video will be received by the public, before they publish it online, for the whole world to see?
 
First off, you should always test any and all of your new company videos by first showing them to a small loyal audience before you publish online. It is best to hear what a small amount of critics have to say rather than wait for the response you get from an online audience. Remember that once published you cannot take back a video. It’s out there and stays out there, either doing your company good or harm! With something as influential as an online business video can be, it is of utmost importance that you hear what your test audience has to say before sending your vid live into cyberspace.  
 
Rehearse, rehearse… you can never rehearse too much! You always want to produce a very high quality video for your customers and fans of your brand. A top-notch video, loaded online, can bring brand awareness for many, many years to come; so why would a serious business person skimp when producing a company video? Go all out! Your videos can bring you in new customers for months and years; all you have to do is place your videos in the right spots, where they will be viewed by audiences that like to share enjoyable videos on their social media platforms.
 
Where you publish your videos is just as important as how well-crafted your video is made. The best video will not do you any good unless people see it. You have to do your research and find out where your best business prospects are hanging out online and more importantly; where do they go to find the videos that they watch? Who are the top bloggers in your industry niche?
 
You want to make a video that will be enjoyed but you also want it to be so good that it gets recommended to others to watch. That is not always so easy to accomplish. If you first know where your video is going to be published and you also know the viewers whom you wish to watch then you can look at what other videos are already the most popular for your audience.

Bear in mind you first must build a fan base before you start selling and sales pitching.
 
Study, what your preferred audience type is already watching and sharing with each other. Find out what the most popular videos are concerning the topic you address in your video. Now all you have to do is give your audience something they have never seen before.
 
Look at the videos that your competition is having the most success with. Can you recognize why the popular videos are liked? Why do the unpopular videos seem to be failing with the audiences you wish to address? Does your target audience enjoy mostly long videos or short videos? Funny or serious videos? Do informative videos do better than silly, entertaining videos? Once you have an idea of what works to impress your targeted audience it is time to start doing some brainstorming for video ideas that will paint your company in a positive light.     
 
You are going to need a video script and a list of scenes. A great video has a focused theme to it. Remember that your company has an image to uphold so do not create anything that could jeopardize your company’s reputation.
 
What is your video going to be about? What mood are you looking to put your viewer into? Think, what do I want to accomplish with this video? Why am I making it? Is a video really the best means of accomplishing my goal? If you can accomplish your goal easier or less expensively without a video or if you can meet your goal faster in a different way besides by video publishing then by all means use those better methods and rethink a new theme and a different goal for your video production.
 
Making a great business video takes time and dedication so you want to have a specific mission in mind before you start.
 
Depending on the type of video you decide to create, you may want to doodle up a few sketches and put them into a storyboard form while you are also working on developing your script. A storyboard is a visual representation, drawing by drawing, of what the key scenes will be in your video. You do not need to be an artist to make a storyboard of your proposed video scenes. You just want to get down on record your ideas for each scene, so you can view the video concept in its entirety.
 
Your storyboard helps you see the whole video in your mind and thus you can merge the script to match up with the various scenes. Your storyboard also shows your actors and video crew what is going to happen and when, before the shoot actually starts, so everyone knows their responsibilities.
 
Once everyone knows their roles, you should do a few trial runs before you actually start shooting. Practice and fine tune everything. Revise the script where needed. Alter or rearrange the scenes if you have to. Add a scene or cut a scene or make a scene longer; whatever is needed. Touch up makeup and move the positions of props, bring in extra lighting to get rid of unwanted shadows; all before you roll the cameras! Get everything as perfect as possible in the trial runs and then shoot!   
 
If you are planning to hire the services of a production company to create your video, make sure to work closely with them during the planning process. If you are creating a how-to or motivational video in your area of expertise, you are probably the best person to write the script. Concentrate on getting your best ideas on paper and then work with the production company to arrive at a final script. Just be sure to show the script and any other drawings or plans to some other colleagues to get some feedback before you okay the video production.
 
Often you need the opinions of folks who are not so intimately involved in the actual creation process of a video to notice some things that could use improving. It is better to find out early in the production process that something needs to be changed, so ask people what they think constantly. All feedback is good feedback. The rehearsal process is supposed to sprout new ideas. Do not be afraid to keep revising until everything seems just right; your actors need direction’ the script might need some tweaks. Actions and words should appear and sound smooth and natural…believable! 
 
IMPORTANT VIDEO RECORDING TIPS:
Shoot your video using as many vid cameras as possible, capturing the action from many different angles. Videos are made great in the editing room! Yes, you do need to invest in quality video editing software. Some coverage should be made with a camera help in the videographer’s hands so the camera operator can move around as they wish, capturing the action from the best views. Other clips require the camera to remain steady, (no jumping or bouncing) and thus must be mounted on a tripod. It all comes together in the editing room!
